NIHR Clinical Research Network North East and North Cumbria is delighted to announce that it has become a collaborator with VOICE and the link to our page is www.voice-global.org/crnnenc. VOICE is a unique community of members of the public, patients, service users and carers, who contribute their ideas and experiences and get involved in research and innovation.
It is our aspiration to evolve our Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) community by increasing the opportunities for the public to get involved in our work.
The digital platform will provide the opportunity for public, patients, service users and carers to:
- get involved in events and conferences
- take part in polls, challenges and consultations
- be part of focus groups, workshops and public panels
- connect with one another in a virtual space
VOICE will also be a great resource for research teams across the North East and North Cumbria, as it supports researchers to conduct meaningful patient and public involvement.
Justine Smith, Senior Strategic Manager said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to strengthen Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement within the Clinical Research Network across the North East and North Cumbria, engage with all of our communities, and join all of the public research engagement work going on in the region in one place. We are excited to be collaborating with VOICE”.
